5 Great Things to Do in Peachtree City, Georgia

Peachtree City has a lot to offer visitors who are looking for things to do in Georgia. For example, the city is home to a variety of historical sites. The town also hosts many annual events. One of the largest events is the WWII Heritage Days, when more than 500 volunteers recreate the sights and sounds of the Greatest Generation. The event features historic aircraft, military vehicles, re-enactments, 1940s music shows, and veteran and historian presentations. Another popular event is the Hops & Brews Georgia Craft Beer Festival, which features craft beer tastings in a WWII airplane hangar, food trucks, and live music.


For music lovers, there are a number of different entertainment venues in the city, including the Fred Brown Jr. Amphitheater, which has hosted several outstanding performances since 1977. It was even named the "Best Music Venue" by Insite Atlanta Magazine in 2018. The amphitheater has lawn and theater style seating, as well as table seating for music enthusiasts. The amphitheater is located at 201 McIntosh Trail.


Another great way to learn about the local food scene is by visiting the Peachtree City Farmers Market, which is held every Wednesday and Saturday morning. You can get fresh fruits and vegetables and buy souvenirs from local vendors. At the farmers market, you can also listen to live music.


Peachtree City is home to several beautifully landscaped parks, including the William B. Davis BMX Track, Peachtree City Dog Park, and All Children's Playground. The city also has several golf courses, including the award-winning Planterra Ridge Golf Club and the Flat Creek Country Club. Both courses are excellent for golfers, and the weather is ideal all year round.
